Mobssie Chocolate Cake – Real chocolate cake with warm chocolate in its heart

홍대역 8번 출구에서 나와 좀 걷다 보면 서교초등학교 담장을 끼고 카페와 옷가게, 레스토랑이 가득한 거리가 나온답니다. 몹시 초콜릿케이크는 수많은 카페 중에 하나이지요. 진짜 초콜릿으로 만든 진한 초콜릿 케익과 초콜릿 음료가 유명한 곳이예요.

When you walk from the exit number 8 of Hongik Univ. Station, and walk along the wall of Seokyo Elementary School, you can find a way full of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Mobssie Chocolate Cake is one of those cafes. This place has renown for thick chocolate cake and chocolate beverage made of real chocolate.

앞에는 초록색 간판에 초콜릿 케익이라고 큼직하게 쓰인 곳이 나와요. 이곳이 바로 몹시 초콜릿케이크  랍니다. 1층과 2층이 모두 이 카페예요. 항상 사람이 많은데, 1층에 자리가 없으면 2층으로 가셔도 돼요.

The entrance is decorated in green color, and with the big sign of ‘Chocolate Cake’. This place is Mobssie Chocolate Cake. The cafe is using both first floor and second floor. There are usually lots of people, so if there are no seats on the first floor, the second floor is also a good choice.

저희도 이날 1층에 자리가 없어 2층으로 올라갔어요. 깔끔한 분위기예요. 초콜릿 케익 하나와 초콜릿 음료 하나를 주문했는데, 초콜릿 케익은 바로 조리해서 나오기 때문에 약 10분정도 걸린다고 해요.

We went upstairs this day. It has neat atmosphere. What we ordered are one chocolate cake and one chocolate beverage. Because the chocolate cake is baked right after you order, it takes about ten minutes.

맨 위에는 라즈베리 아이스크림, 그 밑에 차가운 우유, 맨 밑바닥에는 진한 초콜릿이 들어 있어요. 섞어먹어야 제맛이라는데, 섞은 것은 모양이 예쁘지 않아 찍지는 않았어요. 의외로 아이스크림, 우유, 초콜릿 세가지의 조합이 꽤 괜찮더라구요! 최근에 먹은 초콜릿 음료 중에 가장 맛있었어요.

This chocolate beverages has raspberry ice cream on the top, cold milk beneath it, and thick chocolate on the bottom. They say that it is more delicious when we mix it together, but I didn’t took a picture of it because it’s not that pretty. Unexpectedly, the combination of ice cream. milk and chocolate was pretty good! It was the best chocolate beverage I had lately.

레귤러 사이즈를 주문했어요. 컵 째로 구웠는지, 컵이 뜨거워서 조심해야 해요. 진짜 달면서도 맛있어요. 설탕이 씹히는 맛의 단맛이 아니라 진짜 초콜릿의 진한 단맛이예요. 초콜릿 매니아들은 이 곳의 초콜릿 케익은 꼭 한번씩 드셔봐야할것 같아요!

We ordered a regular size chocolate cake. Because they bake it in the cup, the cup is really hot. The cake is really sweet and delicious. The sweet taste is like real chocolate, not like some powder or sugar. If you are a chocolate mania, you should definitely try the chocolate cake here!
